We just got home from 2 weeks at Mom and Dad's. We had a FANTASTIC trip! We did lots of fun things including the Clarksville 4th of July Parade. Last year, we got there 5 minutes late and missed the entire parade! It's not a very big parade, so we figured we better get there a little earlier this year. Katelynn really enjoyed it!
The parade started off with the Veterans.
There were lots and LOTS of cars in the parade this year (I think they are trying to make it bigger - LOL).
Denver had fun too!
Of course Katelynn LOVED the tractors!!
Hmmm...maybe we should do this with Peppy next year?!
She really liked all the horses too...
After the parade we went to Uppy's for ice cream. Katelynn said she wanted birthday cake ice cream, but
then she saw Nana's mint chocolate chip and changed her mind!
Poor Barb had to eat Katelynn's birthday cake ice cream! LOL
It was a really nice day! We had a great 4th and hope to do it again next year; although we are thinking about heading to Gettysburg to see the re-enactment next year - as long as Chris isn't deployed again. Chris is such a history buff we can't be this close and not try and go. Guess we should probably start looking for places to stay now?!
