We got to Mom and Dad's on Friday, spent Saturday playing in the dirt, and Sunday playing in more dirt and finding Easter baskets before hitting the road.
Here the kids are Easter Sunday looking for their baskets.
Katelynn found her's!
Yeah!
Denver found his!
Balls!
Showing Pap-pap her new Pony's.
Katelynn got to help Nana decorate Easter cupcakes.
She put a lot of thought into how many jelly beans needed to go on each one...
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! More blogs to come.

Easter, Part 1
Easter. It was over 4 weeks ago, and I'm just now getting around to blogging on it. We spent Easter at Mom and Dad's, and we had a very nice time.
The worst part was the drive down because we decided to go down 15. It took f-o-r-e-v-e-r! Almost 8 hours to get there, and we left at 2pm. The kids were tired, we were tired. We'd like to do the drive again sometime when we leave earlier so we can stop at some of the places we saw. We did make one stop for ice cream (although it wasn't very good - seriously, it had freezer burn all over it). What was cool about it though was the gentleman with a parrot who liked ice cream!
Denver and I stayed in the car (it was pretty chilly out)...
We all crashed pretty hard when we got to Mom and Dad's. The next day we got up and helped out with chores.
Heading to the greenhouse...
OH MY! What is that?! NANA IT'S CHICKS!!!! I had one very excited little girl on my hands.
Luckily Pap-pap was there and able to get one out for her.
She loved petting it.
and got to hold it too!
Someone else got a little jealous!
Helping Nana water the beds.
Taking a mini-break...
Denver - look what I took from them!!
Chris was busy smashing Katelynn's college fund.
A quick photo with Katelynn's tree. We need to plant one for Denver.
Here is Katelynn in July 2009 (her first trip to Nana and Pap-paps) with her tree.
and in July 2010 this is the closest I got to taking a photo of her and her tree, so sad. Can you see her tree next to Crystal's Yukon and behind the green swing?! LOL
I'm no where close to the tree in 2011. Sigh. It's down the hill to the right. Best shot I got. LOL
Alright, now that I'm done with the trip down memory lane; back to Easter 2012. We just got done playing mini-golf, so it was time to get back to work...which means Peppy rides!!
and playing in dirt...
Did someone say lunch?!

Spring Days
Spring! My favorite thing about Spring is all the beautiful flowers. Chris and I have been doing lots of shopping for flowers and plants. It wasn't a bad Winter so a lot of our plants survived and are doing really well.
Here is a rainy day project we did...Katelynn's jellyfish. She wanted to hang them outside.
Mint that Mom and Dad sent home with us. This was back in April...
and this weekend. It's doing really well (and we enjoyed a wonderful batch of Mint Iced Tea)
Our Strawberry plant. We've gotten 2 red strawberries so far, or I should say, Katelynn has eaten 2 so far.
My Gladiolas are popping up...
Katelynn pointing out the Glad's.
Admiring the Hyacinthia.
A Mum that survived the Winter.
When I was digging through my pots to plant new flowers I discovered something...
A bird had decided to make one of my planter's his new home.
We even found eggs!
When we got back from Mom's for Easter, the eggs were gone and we found the bird lying on the patio. It was so sad. I'm guessing maybe a cat got her.
On a brighter note, I spent the best $1 ever at Target. I got Katelynn a butterfly net. She loves it and chases butterflies with it all the time.
Denver loves the outdoors as well. He brings me his shoes when he wants to go out. I've learned the hard way that he can't go outside until after his nap or I won't be able to get him back inside and down for one. His favorite thing is to stand at the top of the hill and roll all the balls and toys to the bottom.
He takes these red stools out of the clubhouse and tosses them down the hill too...
Look what I found!
More blogs to come...lots of catching up to do!
