December was a really busy month for us, so I decided to do a few different blogs. This one is going to cover just some fun stuff about Katelynn and the things she did this month.
We had her one year check-up and the Doctor told us she was negative for weight gain, so they drew her blood and ran a bunch of tests to make sure she is doing okay. They all came back negative...guess we just have a small little girl! They want to see her again at 15 months instead of 18 just to make sure she's doing okay (speaking of which I need to schedule that this week).
I've started encouraging her to eat with a spoon. It's a very messy experience! First she throws the spoon aside and sticks her whole hand in the container.
She likes to examine the spoon before doing anything else.
She is always very proud of her accomplishments!
After eating her morning snacks I lay her down for her nap. She absolutely hates taking a nap, but not taking one is never an option. I would rather have her cry for 10 minutes before falling asleep than have her cranky all day. For about a week in December I would lay her down and she would sit up and than pull herself up, and just through her head back and wail. She wouldn't stop until I'd come in and lay her back down, then she'd roll over and go to sleep.
When I'd take her out after her naps she'd try and get back in! Silly girl!!
We ventured down to Colorado Springs to have a Christmas celebration with Chris's family, and since it was on a Sunday we had to wear our game day attire!
Katelynn didn't want to smile for the above photo, and than when she did smile, Chris looked away!
Chris's Uncle Don came down to, so I grabbed some shots of him and Katelynn.
We actually remembered to bring Katelynn's table and chair for her to eat in this time! That only took about 6 months to start remembering! LOL.
At this age they seem to enjoy the gift wrap more than the actual gifts!
All her cousins were eagerly awaiting their gifts!
Katelynn loved all of her new toys!
Chris's sisters watching the festivities.
Katelynn playing with her new Alphabet Train.
These last few photos are of Katelynn playing with the Leap Frog table Chris and I got her for her birthday.
She "jammed" out on the keyboards all day! And even tried her hand at singing! LOL.
Thank you! Thank you! I'll be here every night! :)
Hope you enjoyed the photos!
