Many of you may remember from last year that Katelynn hated baseball games. Every time people cheered she cried. We tried several times last season but never made it past the 5th inning. We figured we'd try again this season.
She LOVED it! This time instead of crying when people cheered she danced! She would not sit down though so we moved to the very top of the stadium and stood and danced for the entire game. Yep - she lasted all 9 innings! Here are some shots of Katelynn and Chris "dancing."
We were so proud of her! It was a late night, but she did so well!
I see many more Rockies games in our future! :)
She did so well at the Rockies game that we took her with us to the final regular game for the Avalanche! Chris and I are very sad to see our 14-game pack come to an end. The Avalanche games we went to this season were a lot of fun. We'll miss them next year, but hopefully Chris will be getting stationed close to another team (and hopefully the Avs will come there so we can show up in our CO gear!).
We weren't sure how Katelynn would handle the noise and the crowd of an Avalanche game, but she was a pro! Acted like she's been going to them forever.
During the 2nd intermission we went and met the Avs mascot - Bernie, a St. Bernice. He was awesome, and she loved him!
She practically jumped out of Chris's arms to get to him...
She wouldn't look at the camera...only at Bernie!
We got her some "ice cream of the future" to try. She loved it - she is her mother's daughter after all!
We "tried" to get a family shot, but that didn't work too well.
And of course we had to take the fun photos before leaving...
My little hockey star!
Hope you enjoyed the pics!

The Easter Egg Hunt with the Baratta's
We drove up to Ft Collins to Mike and Pacita's house for Easter Sunday this year. We had a great time. All the kids did really well with the egg hunt.
Since she's still not quite walking yet, she preferred to "hunt" by crawling.
And when she had enough she refused to budge.
She wanted to stay put and play with the necklace.
All the kids gathered around her and started going through each other's baskets.
But again, all Katelynn wanted was the necklace!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!

Easter Morning
I found the cutest Easter basket for Katelynn at Ross! When you press the handle it makes hopping noises!! And it was only $7!!!! What a great find. :)
I "hid' her Easter basket on top of her gym, than I hid Chris's Easter basket and went upstairs to wake them up!
But Katelynn was already awake and playing in her crib, so I ran back downstairs to get the camera! By the time I got back upstairs she was rattling the sides trying to get out.
So I got Chris up and we all headed downstairs. She got super excited when she "found" her Easter basket.
Her favorite was the duck!
Than Chris looked for his, and was very happy when he found it!
Than he told me he hid mine too (darn it I would've looked before I woke him up!). But of course he just had to hide mine extra high up...(boy do I have a lot of magnets on my fridge!)
I unfortunately didn't get a lot of photos because I videotaped it. I still haven't figured out how to change the format of my video so I can upload it on to here. Soon hopefully.
Katelynn was non-too impressed with the sun this morning! It was preventing her from playing with her new toys.
Okay - one more blog on Easter and we'll be done! It takes so long to upload the photos, I hope you don't mind that I broke them all down. Love to all!

The Easter Bunny
This year for Easter Chris volunteered, with the some of the people he works with, to go to the Ronald McDonald house. He was super excited about it because he was going to dress up as the Easter bunny (took him back to the days when he was the college mascot).
He tried on the suit at home the day before to make sure it all fit. We thought it would be best if Katelynn watched him so she wouldn't freak out like she did when she met Santa. She loved playing with the head.
But she wasn't too sure what to think about it all.
And than when Chris took off the "head" and she saw it was him, she started clapping!
So we took her upstairs, and got her dressed up in her pretty Easter dress, and took some photos. She REALLY liked the head! :)
But again, still not too sure about the Easter bunny.
But she got on his lap anyway!
And she gave him a "high 5!"
She wouldn't smile for the camera though.
We got out her Easter basket to see if we could coax a smile out of her...
This is the best I got...
Hope you enjoyed the pics! Next blog will be on Easter morning!
