Baby's Room

Well I got the baby's room set up pretty much the way that I want it. We finally put the crib together, although still no mattress. I'm not going to keep the bumper guard thing on it because there is no way to tie it to the back board.

I got most of the photos on the wall now. I got some really cute photo frames at the Baby Shower that once I get some photos of Katelynn I'll hang those up.
I love the corner rocking chair! I think it'll make for a perfect little spot for nursing when the time comes. It has Chris's baby quilt on it along with a cute little elephant his Dad got us (it plays 'Rock a-bye baby').
The final picture is of the dresser (it was mine as a kid). It's full of books and toys. I have a basket on top with NB clothes. I figured it might be best to have those where we can easily grab them especially since she'll be wearing them right away, or if she's too big not at all.
We have my old vanity set up in the room too, but I want to get one of those diaper changing pad things for on top of it and use it as a changing table. I also have my old hope chest in there and that's covered with Chris and my old stuff animals. I think it's coming along really well.
I can't believe that the baby will be here in only 5 more weeks! The past 9 months have just flown right on by - where does the time go?!
Tomorrow morning I get the car seat installed into the Trailblazer. It'll be weird seeing it in the back seat. :) It took me almost an hour to get all the dog hair vacuumed out today!
Well that's all the updates for now!

34 Weeks

We just had a Doctor visit yesterday and all is well with Baby Katelynn. Her heartbeat is at 149 and staying strong. I'm now up to 207 lbs making for a total weight gain of 24 lbs. I guess that's not so bad, but I don't like seeing the 200 number! Both Mom and Baby are healthy so we can not complain. I'm still not sleeping at night. I get about 3 hours of sleep before I have to go to the bathroom, or my side hurts, or my legs hurt, or the dogs have to go out.

I talked to the Doctor about stopping Jazzercise and switching to Swimming. I'm thinking part of my leg problems might be coming from Jazzercise (it got me this far, but I don't think it'll make it through the last 6 weeks with me). Chris just joined 24 hour fitness and they have a heated-salt water pool that sounds divine. The doctor said as long as it's not more then 100 degrees I can do it. So we're going to try one of those aqua aerobic classes on Saturday morning. I'm hoping it'll help ease the leg/back/hip pain that's been hanging around for a few weeks now.

Last night we went to a Command function with other Navy families on base. We won 2 door prizes! One was for Uno Chicago Grill and the other was for a free night stay at the Residence Inn Marriott. I'm thinking that it'll be a wonderful gift later next year when we want a night away (and of course we're ready to have someone else watch Baby Katelynn for an entire evening).

Well that's all the updates for now.
