As we were walking from the car to the parade field the helicopter was landing!! Then we had to walk past a row of fire trucks, and what did we see next - Police officers on horses. Talk about an excited two year old!!
One booth was giving out free sparkly necklaces.
The firefighters were giving out lots of cool stuff! Coloring books, crayons, a pencil case, pencils, pencil sharpeners, badges, hats, stickers...oh my!
Denver looking non-too excited...
Our junior firefighter! She got a flower from the Veteran's table, and had to water it! It was a fake flower, but don't tell her that.
She kept telling her Aunt Barby that she wanted a bath! LOL - Barb didn't know what she was talking about...Katelynn thinks all water is bath water. :)
We got some free ice cone things...Katelynn had to sample everyone's.
Please, Aunt Barby, let me have yours again...
No, I want the red one...
Okay this is my favorite photo! She is dancing and eating her cone at the same time!!!
She is too cute. :)
"Patiently" waiting in line to sit in the police car.
Getting to push the horn...
She tried to hold the radio like it was a phone...
Super excited!!
And then we had to go home. Getting her out of the police car was quite the task and she crumbled after wards...cried the whole way home too. It was 830 pm, so not only was it past her bedtime but she had to get out of the police car. Poor thing. Just wait until she fully understands what "Uncle Joe is a police officer" really means. :)
