Kinder Farm Park

Well we are about half way through the Arundel County Parks! I LOVED the Quiet Waters Park and can't wait to try some outdoor ice skating this winter, but today's park - Kinder Farm Park was just as awesome! I read over the stuff the park had and thought the 2.8 mile paved trail would be a nice walk and we could hit up the playground for Katelynn too. Turns out I completely missed the "interpretive farm complex with livestock" run by the 4-H on the website, so when we got there and we saw all the livestock Katelynn almost had a breakdown from all her excitement.Of course it was right next to the playground - she was so excited she didn't know what to do first, so Mommy picked the playground first. Now this was a multi-level playground - there were 3 levels all connected by slides. It was really cool.
Sorry for some of the pics being blurry but it was in the high 80's this morning and the humidity was AWFUL! (we only stayed at the park for about 90 minutes). Level 1...

Katelynn liked the dual slides, but was terrified to go down them.

Denver - I didn't get any really good photos of him today. He woke up at 430 screaming and had a runny nose and was fussy most of the day.

 

 

 

She wouldn't do down the slides, but she would crawl up them!

 

We played for awhile, but it was really hot, so I coaxed her off the playground and over to the animals.
She loved the cows.

She thought the goats were pretty cool...

 

 

Was a little scared of the pigs

Super excited by the sheep, but asked me why they weren't white.

Oinked at the pigs inside.

She loved being able to see the sheep on her own...

but jumped back when the one came up to here. Vinson got a little excited and had to check it out.

Really, really liked the rabbits (Nana and Pap-pap might have to get some of these). That's a little boy next to her - his name was Axel. He was feeding him straw so Katelynn got really excited and tried to feed the rabbits too.

 

We had to go and see the cows again before leaving.

And then she saw the "TRACTORS!!!!!!!" LOL! She was so excited she took off running and tripped over something. Poor thing. She scraped her knee pretty good, but still wanted to go and see the tractors.

 

When we got home I cleaned up her scrapes and she told me to take a photo of them. Both knees and palms have pretty good scratches on them. She said that they "really hurt and need kisses."

 

So that was our day. It rained tonight and is supposed to be rainy for the next 2 days, so we'll go get some grocery shopping done. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
