Katelynn has been acting up a lot lately so I figured we just needed to get out of the house for a few hours. Today we went to the Thomas A. Dixon Observation Area near BWI. It's a 12.5 mile trail that actually connects to the B&A Trail we did the other day.
It was pretty cool because the trail was right at the end of a runway. We got to watch lots of planes take off today. Katelynn kept telling me that her kitty was scared and Denver just looked confused whenever he heard one. The above shot was taken in the parking lot as we got started on our jog.
This is the trail. The path we took was 1.3 miles (so we did 2.6 miles) and it was mostly shaded - although that didn't matter too much today because it was so overcast.
This trail had a playground too (but no bathrooms). Here is Katelynn at the playground watching the planes.
Denver - not impressed.
Vinson chilling.
Katelynn trying to climb the ladder. A few minutes later a little boy climbed it beside her and stood on her hand - she wouldn't go near it again.
It was a pretty good day. Our morning didn't help Katelynn's attitude any though, she was just as rowdy tonight as ever. Hmmm...I'm going to have to get more creative.
Here are some pictures from earlier this week that I didn't add to any blogs...
Denver still trying to figure out the sippy cup
I think we have too many toys! Can you find the baby?! LOL
Katelynn coloring with markers (they were washable)
The kiddos "playing" together
hmmmm....whats in here?
Katelynn running around playing with a paper bag yelling "where's Katelynn?!"
Denver and Katelynn both woke up at 530 and refused to go back to bed earlier this week. This is Katelynn telling me she doesn't need a nap...
