Deployments and 4-H Fairs

If you don't already know, Chris is deployed. He left a little over a week ago now. Katelynn got a few parting gifts from her Daddy; the Build-a-Bear Spooky and a set of My Little Ponies.

 She loves her ponies! She even sleeps with them.

We've been staying busy. On Saturday we went with Barb and Travis to the Carroll County 4-H Fair.

 

Checking out the chickens. Katelynn kept saying "they're too loud. I don't like them." They were very noisy. She's not used to seeing them all cooped up.

 I liked this guy!

 Denver thought they were funny.

 This turkey was as big as she is!

 Ha, ha - love these!

 Sure!

 Then it was off to the large animal section. Sheep.

 Cows. Are you looking at me?!

 

 The rabbit barn was a big hit with her too!

 

 

 Relaxing! Sorry Dad, they only had a green one!

 

It was a lot of fun. The kids lasted for about 2 hours, then it was time to head home.
