Caterpillar Fun

We walked into the house the other day and Katelynn had a fit - there was a caterpillar crawling up the sidewalk. I ran inside to get her jar and we scooped him up. Then we found another one crawling around on the porch, so she had two of them.
Chris hopped online to find out what kind it was and I opened the side door to throw away some trash and there was a third one! Katelynn had found three yellow necked caterpillars.

 She carried the jar around for a good 30 minutes.

 

When she got bored with watching them we returned them to nature. She kept asking when they were going to turn into butterflies. I'm going to have to include these photos in the book of butterflies that I'm making for her.
