Denver Zoo Lights

Before heading to VA for Christmas we took Katelynn to the Zoo lights at the Denver Zoo. It was actually pretty cool! I've never been to an event like this, and Katelynn just loved all the lights! Hope you enjoy all the photos.
This is us at the entrance to the Zoo. We put Katelynn in the cutest little reindeer "snowsuit." Personally, I think she looked extra cute! :)
A nice couple stopped and offered to take our photo.
Katelynn with the peacock (notice Chris trying to hide?!).
Katelynn and the Polar Bear. You can barely make out the little wand we bought her. It mesmerized her for a good 30 minutes - that is until she threw it on the ground and cracked it so all the water and sparkles came out. Not such a kid friendly toy, but she loved the fiber optic lights on it.
They had so many cool displays of lights. This one was of fireflies flying, and than being trapped in a spider web. Very cool!
A cool cat hanging out in the bushes.
I like that this one was sticking it's tongue out at us!

We went on a train ride and than the carousel. The train ride photos didn't turn out though, and only a handful of the carousel ones did. We didn't realize it until the ride started but we had a stationary polar bear. :(

Chris and Katelynn with the animals of the Zoo.

Another family shot, but this time with a Gorilla!

Me and Katelynn in a lighted walkway.

They even had lights up in the trees! Like this cool monkey.

We found this tiger just hanging out behind the tree.

And of course we had to go into the Hippo's mouth!

We took a pose with the wolf near the wolf caves.

Someone was starting to get very sleepy!

We tried to take Katelynn's photo with Santa, but she was impressed - and neither was Leilani! (We went with Chris's friends from college Mike and Pacita, and their 3 kids).

So we tried for one more photo...

Than we took our tired little girl home!
