Colorado Railroad Museum

January 23rd we met Mike, Pacita and their 3 kids at the Railroad Museum in Golden Colorado (home of Coors Beer). It was a decent day, but my photos did not turn out so well because I had a smudge on my lens (something you never notice with digital!).
Here are some shots of the entrance.

The first thing we did was take a train ride! We did 3 laps around the compound with a tour guide. It was pretty neat!

This is the train we rode.

Mike, Pacita, and their kids.

After the train ride we were able to walk the compound and climb on and off of a bunch of trains.

The three of us...

The kids...

They had a miniture train set up too, but it wasn't running.

Some  more shots of the trains.

Leilani managed to find the only patch of ice around and walk on it!

Some more shots of the trains. This one is the same type as the one we got to ride when we first got there. If I remember right there are only 5, and the museum has 3 or 4 of them.

This was pretty cool. It was a track changing station. You really need a panaromic shot to get it all in.

The dad's and their little ones.

A few more trains before going inside.

Inside they had a train pefect for the little girls.

They also had a large train set that took up two rooms in the basement. I didn't get any shots of that, but it was really cool! The kids loved it!
After the museum we headed to downtown Golden for some dinner and walking. We had pizza at a shop called Woody's. They had a salad and pizza buffet. It was pretty good!

After dinner we went for a little walk. Took a few pictures before my battery died in my camera. :( Here is one of Chris and Katelynn in front of the Coors plant.

There was a park there with a huge slide that everyone took a few trips going down. Even Chris with Katelynn. Hope you enjoyed the photos!
