We took the kids to the Family Fun Fair at Patapsco Valley State Park the other Sunday (May 29th). It was a lot of fun, and the kids had a great time. They had some real animals on display for the kids to see - vulture, owls, falcon, hawk, black snake, and a turtle.
this little owl was so cute!!
They also had some stations set up with a lot of fun things to do - build a bird nest (you covered it in peanut butter and rolled it in seeds), make a picture frame, invasive plants, free Black-eyed Susans, and FREE ice cream!!
Here are pictures of Katelynn and Chris making her picture frame.
She really enjoyed it! We didn't have time to make the bird house (they were taking it down while she was finishing up her frame). She did get a two free Black-eyed Susan's and ice cream!
LOTS of sprinkles!
Hmmm, what else should I put on here...
I'll take some of everything!
YUM!
Making sure she gets all of it!
digging deep for the last sprinkles...
The kids got to burn off some energy running through the grass...
Then it was time to head home. It was a beautiful park! We can't wait to go back and explore. The best part - it was only 15 minutes from base!!
