Katelynn - Update

My little girl is going to be 2 next month! My how time just flies right on by. It's amazing how big she is getting. She is wearing 2T and 3T tops and still fits in 18 month bottoms with a few 2T bottoms depending on who makes them. She is very active and loves to run all over the playground. She is really getting good at changing surfaces. She has also surpassed 50 words!!! I'm so proud of her (and yes, I was keeping a list). She is even starting to put words together and she no longer just shouts "yes" or "no." She will actually respond with "yes," "no," or "okay."
She is just as sensitive as ever! We bought a pumpkin for her to paint at the Corn Maze we went to a couple of weeks ago. I figured she had so much fun painting with Lyric last year that she should enjoy it again this year - nope! She cried when we put it in her "bath" and cried even harder when I put paint on it. Ruined bathtime and night routine that nigh. Sigh. The things we learn!

About 3 months ago we turned off our cable - we never watch it anyway and figured it would be a great way to save some money. Well now that football and hockey season are upon us we are a little sad not to have it, but such is life. We are moving in about 30 days so no point in turning it on now. Instead we are taking the opportunity to spend Football Sunday with friends or doing family outings. This past Sunday we went to visit our friends Mike and Pacita to watch some "friendly" football games - Mike's Ravens were playing Chris's Broncos and Pacita's Packers were playing my Redskins.
I finally got to get some photos of Chris and Katelynn in their Bronco gear!

Of course this is how Katelynn and Leilani watched most of the game!

Katelynn on the way home - tuckered out after all the excitement of the day.
Hope you enjoyed the quick update on Katelynn! Chris starts 2 weeks of leave tomorrow, then it's back to work for 2 weeks, and then we are coming home!!! I can't wait to see everyone. We hope to be doing lots of stuff over the next 2 weeks, so watch for at least one more blog before the move.
